MidiSequencer v1.6 manual updated
MidiSequencer manual has now been updated for all the features of v1.6 (including Chords and Audiobus).
Now contains 65 pages and includes some best practice ideas I have for using midiSequencer as a performance tool.
It is available via the app, or via the link below(if you don't have the app).

Thanks, much appreciated.
Thanks for this. Bedtime reading of the highest order...
@Johnny - will certainly send you to sleep!
Thanks for the work on this. I'm sure it will come in handy for a lot of users.
Thank you.
Much appreciated
Great work. Thanks.
Just updated again - forgot to descibe the chords/added notes panel -so 5 more pages added!
Arghhhh![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
Here's something I put together for a project today using midiSequencer on the iPad and some pc vst's.....![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
Just a simple sequence, using CC's to vary filter/resonance.
btw, If you don't like sequencers this would be boring to some
Added a new ornament today - it's basically a 2 step slow tremolo, often heard on modern synths when you hold an octave on a keyboard - the notes play alternatively.
I realised yesterday this is probably the most common type of arpeggio I use in my music (especially with a digital delay) - as heard on the audio posting I did yesterday.
However, I realise I need to split ornaments away from step logic now otherwise I can't use ornaments on all steps of a sub-sequences (see below) as the jump can't be ornamented.
This tends to be the way I use sequences - 4 steps with a jump - I then keep the skip button panel open to let the sequence pass through to the next sub-sequence. That way I can channel the sub-sequences.....
With this ornament, setting gate% to 100% is good, but other ratios produce a digital delay effect of their own as they syncopate with the tempo...
That track - is something I'd like to see the details of how you programmed and drove midiSequencer.
David, I hadn't saved the bank on midiSequencer, but recreated it again today from what I remember.
Here is how you achieve the effect of the sequencer...
4 note sequence : notes D1 D2 A2 D3(Reset) - so first 2 notes are same (just 1 octave apart) which gives it the effect of a longer note followed by two shorter notes.
tempo = 60 gate=75% transpose =0
velocity of steps about 27-44 range for each step - raise each to accentuate the note & it's echo.
The synth I used was albino 3 and needs to be a short punchy sound in the bass.
fx 1 = ddelay(mono) - sync 1/8* (so dotted rhythm to hosts 120bpm) - non-sync this is about 630ms in time)
fx 2 = ddelay(stereo) - sync 1/8* (so dotted rhythm to hosts 120bpm) - and about 125 time) - not sure why these show as 125 and fx1 is 630? But midiSequencer keeps rhythm so it's ok to use sync.
keep the LP filter cutoff low value, use env setting of filter to add edge.
so fx1 provides the main bounce, fx2 fills it in, add reverb to place in the mix.
so midiSequence was driving the sequence - I just played live over the top. No mastering, just abit of fade at the end.
thx, I'll give it a try.
