PDF manual updates?

I can’t find anything on this on a brief search, but does anybody know how/have any ideas on an app, utility, script etc… that would make it possible to automatically update pdf manuals? For example if I keep all my iOS app manuals in one place, something that can point them to a website and automatically update anytime a new manual update is added, or know of any sort of similar functionality available in anyway?

I hate to be negative, but that would be pretty darn close to impossible. Or maybe I should say highly, highly impractical. Developing and maintaining such a program would take orders of magnitude more effort than it could possibly ever save.

There are no rules or assumptions that can be made about where anyone would post those manuals, their naming scheme, that they would stay in the same format, etc. etc.

You'd be better off keeping a spreadsheet of any manuals you download, URLs to find them, and the last version, and then just checking against that for a new manual whenever the software is updated.

really virtually impossible. You have to keep your own database and track these things.

You can check the update date on PDFs

But something like Cykle, that's in HTML, you would need to trust the dev on it's copyright info down the page
