Midi channels issue
Hi,
I can't find solutions to divide my midi channels, I use the ZOA sequencer with AUM. I would like one playhead in ZOA to send the signal on midi channel 1 and the other on midi channel 2. In AUM, I only see "ZOA all outs" and "ZOA out 1" which come alive, nothing is happening on channel 2.
Can you help me find the solution? Thanks!

First, you can configure each ZOA playhead to send on a different MIDI channel, but you probably don't need that.
Second, when you load ZOA in a MIDI lane in AUM, you should see Five ZOA entries along the top of the MIDI routing matrix (the squiggle item in the upper right). These correspond to All Outs, and one for each playhead (not MIDI channel). So, you can route each playhead to a different synth, route two playheads to the same synth, or whatever.
Third, did you enable Playhead 2? Playhead 1 is enabled by default, the others are not. This is probably your problem.
Yes, I configured ZOA playhead 1 on channel 1 and playhead 2 on channel 2, and channel 1 and channel 2 are enabled.
Actually, the result is the same whether I activate 1 playhead or all 4: I only see "ZOA virtual All Outs" and "ZOA Virtual Out1" that are actives.
I can see that there are the 5 midi sources but it is only the first 2 which are active in AUM (ZOA all outs and ZOA Out 1).
It sounds like you're running ZOA stand-alone. And yes, it looks like it does not drive the other "Virtual" outputs. @rygrob ?
Please try loading ZOA in AUM as an Audio Unit MIDI Processor in a MIDI lane of AUM. Tap the [+], then MIDI to create a MIDI lane. Then you can access all 5 outputs. You can still route the output (using AUM) to an external app/device, if that;s what you need.
OK, it works well with this solution, thanks!
Hi, yes it looks like there’s a bug in the standalone where it loses the channel data! It will be fixed in the next update which I am aiming to submit by the end of the week.
Glad you were able to find a workaround in the mean time.
In fact, the ZOA Virtual ports 2, 3, and 4 never receive data from any playhead.
