New Hardware: NMSVE Tiny MIDI Controller

edited December 2021 in Hardware

Just saw an ad for this on Facebook. They’re using it to control Koala. Looks even smaller than a Pocket Operator. I am 100% getting one sometime next year (after the fiancée forgets about the custom Vans I just ordered).

  • For those that are interested: $79.99.

"It’s a tiny midi controller with 12 buttons, 1 dial, and 1 fader. It uses ble5 (Bluetooth Low Energy v. 5) so it’s fast enough to actually make music with."

  • I know this is an old thread but I just picked one of these (NMSVE) while waiting for the newer model to ship (NM2) . The newer model is really quite different. I like the NMSVE very much. No wires needed except for charging. I am using it with AUM.

So far have programmed several buttons to solo instruments in multi instrument sessions and also some transport controls start, stop/rewind. Works great for these.
Tap tempo worked somewhat but is not intuitive.

If anyone wants to share tips please do so. It would be very nice to have the knob control a parameter (volume for instance) on the last selected instrument.

I have tried the MIDImatic software and it works very well. I am a little leery of running something outside of AUM but it seems to work fine making and remembering conversions.
