Mea culpa. I have it. It was indeed tucked away in hidden list on the iphone. I've no idea why. Thanks to everyone for the help.
Not on currently beta that i see. Its s nice idea. Will put in the request
I already did that years ago...
So still no meat just polish.
Couldn’t agree less.
This app has made some strides. I just did a song on it and it was quite enjoyable. I honestly didn’t miss the lack of AU support because I was getting great sounds out of its own synths/fx. Audio tracks sync, automation is easy to use and I’m having fun with it. It definitely has a Caustic/NS2 vibe but with audio tracks. Woo! Hoo! 😎👍🏼
Things I hope they change in the UI:
All
Of
It
To each their own. The UI doesn’t get in my way which is the most important thing to me.
Works pretty well for me,too. Some of the included plugs are tremendous.
Everything feels so clunky and buried. It’s all over the place. Cubasis and NanoStudio2 are far more intuitive.
I can't say that the interface has ever bothered me.
NS2 is intuitive? People are indeed truly different. I find it very, very convoluted to get to common settings I use all the time. Don't get me wrong, I love NS2 and think it looks great, but it is anything but intuitive to me.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not really a fan of NS2’s UI either. Things are buried and not easily accessible. Which then speaks volumes about my feelings on FLSM which I feel is even worse.
I have no comments on what UI is intuitive or not since what works easiest for one person is convoluted for the next person. I've never had a problem with NS2's interface, nor Gadget's interface. I get on with Cubasis' interface a little less than the first two mentioned apps, but it's still super easy to get along with.
Regarding FLSM's UI, it's fine by me. Sure it can use some tweaking here and there, but it isn't all that horrible for me.
it‘s the features or lack of that stop me from using it. the ui is okish in my books.
What features are you looking for? I was very surprised how much it’s changed since the last time I used it and since when I was beta testing it.
You may have just sold me on it. I tend to love most of the daws/groove boxes that others feel are lacking something essential so.... will be giving this a try in the near future
top request: midi note editing like transpose and humanize
“Clunky and buried” is how I feel about Cubasis, Auria and BM3. What I find intuitive is Caustic, NS2 and FLSM. 😆 Funny how our minds work! 🤪
Maybe they’ll be in what I have heard is an “upcoming update”? Who knows?!
Haha yeah it truly is a bizarre thing.
It’s probably not what you’re looking for - but all the rack instruments (including the slicer) have a 24 semi tone pitch adjustment..there’s also the automation clip writing functionality to apply to pitch adjustments that easily allow you do in-track transposition…both would require a knowledge of music theory to apply of course. There’s also some user interaction needed to humanize, turning on and off the “snap to” and swing functionality and sliding stuff around.
Definitely not as easy as for example the clip transpose function in Cubasis 3. Or the humanize functionalities in other DAWS. (I’d have to have someone remind me where those humanizers are on iOS. Auria Pro i guess?)
My 2 cents on the GUI, flsm has the most fluid non pull down-y/menu-y GUI on IOS, for me the fastest workspace on iOS or Android
But as always horse for courses as comrade @JohnnyGoodyear might say
The more people post negative reviews on the AppStore about the missing features, the more pressure it would place on their team as the app's ratings would take a nose dive.
There’s also posting on their forum…
https://forum.image-line.com/viewforum.php?f=1964
Beta testers (some of whom are on this forum) also have fast response time from the dev team
Disagree.
Even a truly bad app deserves a fair review that points out what’s missing and also brings up good points (if any) as well.
FLMS has a lot of good points that IMHO outweigh any missing features. Sure, there are some things it needs but not a whole lot. Missing features or questions about operation should be addressed to customer service and dev forum, not result in a 1-star.
Negative ratings can cause loss of sales which could shut down the app entirely and then what have you gained? I’ve seen a lot of negative reviews where the user obviously doesn’t know how to use an app and made no effort to contact the dev but just dropped a 1-star instead.
Again, how does that help anything? I’ve even seen reviews that say an app doesn’t have a feature or function when it actually does.
+1
Did all that and was rather active on their forum. Up until the point when this Scott dude banned me due to not hailing them.
So IL don‘t give a sh•• about their users - money received and that‘s it...
Strange. I've always gotten along with Scott, even when I was being critical of the apps and giving suggestions and such.
(I remember when Gol (Didier) wanted to display waveforms in this blurry "fancy" style in the main PC/Mac FL Studio, and it hurt my fucking eyes. I was VERY critical about that, and they switched it back with the OPTION to display waveforms in the "fancy" style.)
Haven’t hailed Scott or Maxx or Oliver and I remain unbanned
lucky you!
It was usually Gol and that one mod from Hawaii (what the fuck was his name?) who were always ready with the banhammer for people who started flamewars and shit. Regardless, I haven't been to that forum in about a few years. It's just a toxic, unfriendly environment, especially in "looptalk", at least when I used to visit there.
I don‘t care who banned me. All I know is IL is one of the very few companies I wouldn‘t mind going belly up. The way they ran their forum some years ago was just pathetic!
PS I didn‘t start flamewars nor posted shit. They just couldn‘t stand people telling the truth that their newest iteration (v3) was poorly done at least at launch time back then.
