Name a Plugin (in AUM)
Hi,
I have 2 instances of Thafknar in a channel in AUM.
One has a violin IR.
The other has a cell IR.
I don’t want to change presets within a single instance. I want to slide one over to the left (to turn it off), and slide one over to the right (to turn it on) - depending which instrument I’m playing.
See Screen Snapshot Below
SooOOooo…. riddle me this - is there a way in AUM to give the plugin a different name, or a different ICON so it will be easier to remember which has the violin IR and which has the cello IR?
Thanks

Long-press the name in the title bar. There you can set the color and the Short name. Unfortunately there's only six characters to work with in the short name though.
Don't forget to hit Save in the rename dialog.
@wim
WOW!! Thank you Thank you Thank you!!
It’s so clear and easy now - my 8 year old nephew can understand the channel
And for the toggle between the two instances, you could assign the same trigger (note, CC, PC) to the bypass parameter (using toggle mode) of both instances and if their initial state is that only one is active, applying the trigger wil toggle them.
.
Press the channel name and then the parameter icon in the top left:
Now for both Thafknar instances:

In its parameters, select a trigger for Bypass using toggle mode:

.
You also need to route your controller (which sends the trigger) to AUM control, i was using AUMs keyboard and note 1 on channel 1 as trigger
Well shit. I never knew this. This just solves my other post wishing I could change an icon color or something to keep my Mozaic plugs identifiable
You can also use Mozaic's SetShortName {thename} to specify the name text that will appear under the icon in AUM. StreamByter has the equivalent Set Name thename command.
@_ki Thank you. I know this. I have used the MIDI controls to do this sort of thing before.
Sadly my Xtone from Xsonic has some crappy MIDI switches, they only send a message on release. Here that’s OK. I connected a better MIDI controller from Morningstar to it.
