wanted: voice synthesizer that "sings" syllables
I use PDFtoMusic Pro, but the "voices" are funky and the syllables are unclear. Is there an app that can "read" my Finale files or PDF files generated from Finale that actually sound close to a human voice?

For desktop.
wow that's impresssive
something like that for iOS would be so cool...
But can it really sing all text? it looks like it's based on real voice samples and not synthetic voice?

Talker does this but it is not a music synth app per say. It is a text to voice app with lots of options it is actually really cool. I spell out long vowel words like ooooooooooooaaaaahhhhhhhhheeeeeeeyyyyyyyy, or whatever and it works…

I referred @stclair to this Forum, suggesting that if anybody would have the answer, you guys will. You did not disappoint. Impressive!
He didn't make clear that he only works on desktop, not iOS. So your answer are right on.
BTW, you're helping a very accomplished, veteran musician and composer. Rick has been working the last decade to transition from traditional score-writing to using the computer to write and audition his pieces. His music is amazing. I'll leave it to him to post links.

The recommended programs are for Cubase or in Chinese and Japanese. I have a Mac computer (desk top). I need a program that will run on iMac desktop computers. Thanks in advance.
ivoxel should be pretty ace for what your looking to do. Perhaps anyway.
Vocaloid5 Basic costs $225. Has anyone here used it? On what platform/software?
I decided to go for Vocaloid5 for Mac. I'll let you folks know how it went. Thanks!
Richard
Cool. Welcome.
Slightly off topic. A better speaking voice? I used Talker recently to create a speaking voice for this piece:
It’s not bad, the weirdness of intonation works as a one off, but does anyone know of a better speaker, not singer, option, where you can tweak the intonation?
I like this idea of ‘stories with soundscape accompaniment’ and want to do more of them, but I’m concerned that over the longer haul of an actual short story, up to the thirty minutes maybe, the infelicities of the Talker phrasing would make it a bit crap to listen to. I realise that anything out there will most likely be desktop, I have Mac and PC , and would prefer something on Mac. Any ideas?
