USB-C directly
With any instrument i like to touch it limits, I scratch strings, i hit shit, i listen for reverb. I state this first because I dont need anyone to telling me later that 5ms delay is nothing. Besides its on top of everything else in the chain..it meens I won’t slide the guitar this way. I am a jam player, and to make everything up from where I were simply demands less latency.
I’m currently in a relationship with a Roli block. We have bluetoots and thats fine because I like touching things.
Would be greater faster though!
I tried to direct connect it with the camera connect kit, I will try again but I did not find it in AUM or Model 15!
I tried it through the Audiofuse soundcard aswell, I must have done something wrong.
I like to live in a fantasy world where plugging direct To the ipad makes even less latency then going through a soundcard.
How is your experience, should I expect midi controllers to work going straight to USB-C?
I’ve decided to stick with the Roli’s.
More questions are like:
if I expand Seaboard with a lightpad if they will go through the USB connection and benefit from less latency, or if they will be silly about it but I’ll ask “Roli” that.
What you think?
Thanks for understanding!

I was on an iPad mini 5 BTW with a camera connection kit when i tried to direct connect the Roli seaboard block, Then I tried through the soundcard.
Makes me hesitant to think about upgrading to USB-C if I cant get it to work with lightning
USB-C direct works great for me!
I’m using a Launchpad Pro MK3 directly, haven’t tried my Roli yet.
If you wanna touch your Roli’s bluetoots you’re probably gonna have to buy it dinner first.
😂
Merde, I just realized there are probably no iPads with USB-C and headphone jack. Would you sign a petition?
From what I gather a CCK can deliver around 100ma (just enough for a Keystep and I’m hoping for the EWI USB I’ve just been given), but USB-C can deliver more, sorry I don’t know the number.
Sadly I think you’re right that there has never been an iPad with both USB-C and a headphone socket.
