"Bernard Hermann at the Bates Motel"

Stuck in a chair for a couple of hours, I open my phone with some airbuds and made this in AUM.

Apps Used:

(2) Moziac "McOrchestrator" scripts to play with PPQN's of a fixed sequence
(2) Rosetta Scalar apps to force the melodic minor scale and allow for quick transpositions
(2) iSymphonic for the pizzicato strings driven by the Moziac -> Rosetta -> MIDI stream
(1) Noise Melody with a choir + strings preset controlled by AUM keyboard
(1) TAQ.sim World Synth controlled by AUM keyboard
(1) Mix bus with FAC Alteza

  • For regular viewer, this one was made using a similar strategy and @Spidericemidas AddStation presets that were released for Xmas with a lot of amazing Bell sounds.
I also added Objeq to really bring out the metallic quality of the bells:

  • Bernard would be proud of you,😎😘

Bernard would ask if I could send his office the score. I'd crawl under the bed.

  • Very cool!
I like the abrupt change at 0:56.

"We all go a little mad sometimes."

  • Bernard was fun 💀🏃🏼‍♀️🔪🏃🏽and Spiders Bell Choir was really pretty 🥰

Could be taken as fun, harmless and playful. But also quite creepy and manic as influenced by the title when listening!

You've captured Hermann's ominous pizzicato well!

I should mention that a added the @Blue_Mangoo Open Beta "Transient Shaper" on that
Pizz to make it snap like Bartok. Check it out... I find it really works for staccato shaping.

That sums me up: fun and pretty... with being being an adjective applied to nouns like
    obnoxious, dated, difficult, tiring...

Yes, Bernard composed the scores for all the Hitchcock films so he had creepy and
    manic down cold.

Thanks again for all the inspiring presets for some otherwise somewhat blah synths.
You unlocked pure gold for AddStation in this recent seasonal gift box.
