Any good Chorus/Ensemble apps?

Anyone have any suggestions for great Chorus/Ensemble apps, or apps that have great Chorus/Ensemble capability that can be used as an effect?

  • Audulus for the win.

  • Um..ok.. I have it, but unless there are some existing patches, I'll be introuble. That app is really over my head. :-) Are there any other e
asier solutions? Or...do you have any patches for Audulus?

  • @Audiojunkie Hi. On the Audulus forum, look for the VP-330 Ensemble patch. That may help. You must register to download patches. If you ask, someone may actually help build one specifically for your needs, which would benefit us all. Audulus is definitely for the win, but you can do what you're looking for with SunVox as well.

  • Thanks! I'll look into it!

  • Sampletank has a Voices library.

  • Thanks. I've actually been looking for a chorus effect, rather than a chorus of singers. :-) I wanted something like the effect found on the Korg iPolySix -- the chorus/ensemble effect. It appears that currently it doesn't exist. However, I've decided that I'm doing well with Master FX. :-) Thanks everyone for your help! :-)

  • AUFX:Dub, Magellan in the FX slot, NLog in the FX slot, even Sunvox... Too bad Caustic doesn't have external audio tracks because its chorus is fantastic.

The Audulus VP-330 patch is a blast, but be sure you have enough CPU power.

  • Magellan lets you use the FX in the AB effects slot.

  • Lol. Simulpost

@Audiojunkie I made a Chorus Ensemble patch in Audulus. I just took a few user patches, and modified one or two little things. 99.9 % of this work is not mine. I uploaded it to a Dropbox. See if it works for you. Picture included here. https://www.dropbox.com/s/bnbzh9jywym3jxn/ChorusEnsemble.audulus

I think I misinterpreted what I needed to do here. You need the actual effect, not as an input source. This will do it... https://www.dropbox.com/s/2a2t6k2wd73at4m/ChorusEnsembleAsEffect.audulus

I was a sleepyhead in the morning, clearly...

  • And of course, you can add some delay and reverb to the left and right channels, which sound nice with the AsEffect patch. See pict.

  • Hey Thanks guys! I'll have to check all of this out when I get home from work! :-) I wish Audulus had a tab or something that would allow me to have the editable parameters on a single page or something for quick and easy performance use. Audulus is like the Reaktor for iPad--one could build probably anything one could imagine with all of the low level components. But for live purposes, it becomes less useful.

  • Hey @ArcaneScreams, how did you nest all of the components? Is there a way to package patches within patches now? Wasn't each effect a separate patch at one point? That looks like it's greatly simplified! :-)

@Audiojunkie Yes, there is. Custom nodes. I can send this one if you'd like. Much easier to know which parameters to play with. Just keep that Input node connected and you can use this in the Effect slot of AB. See pict. By the way, nice question. Sounds great with SeekBeats, etc. Having lots of fun tonight.

    Here. https://www.dropbox.com/s/etinq2mpmro6egm/ChorusEnsembleAsEffectClean.audulus

  • NICE!!! @ArcaneScreams!!! I'm going to have to download it again and get more serious with it now. That looks VERY usable!!! Thanks!!!
