One note changing when using AUM **sorted, but would like to know why it did it**
I hope this is the right place to ask about AUM.
It was suggest to me a while ago to give this a go, over AB3, and as i have some spare time now im giving it another go.
I like it, and it seems it will work well for me once ive got to grips with it. Im only going to use it for live playing, ill never need to record using it.
Ive got B-3X, Tal-U-UNO LX and iM1 all set up as i want them. These are controlled by a Nektar GX49 keyboard, each on a different midi channel. Program changes work fine etc. perfect….well almost.
When i play a certain note on the keyboard and im using iM1 the key velocity is causing the sound to change drastically. For example, EP4. This one note when played hard sounds like its jumping an octave up. Same with the Sax i use. If i transpose the keyboard the note moves with it, so its not a faulty key.
Playing the M1 as a stand alone works as expected, and so does using it with AB3, so its not the patches themselves.
IPad 9, iOS15.2 and everything is up to date.
Any ideas?

Ok, user error. Although iM1 was playing i hadn't actually assigned the controller to it. The controller has two instances, but neither were checked in the set up for this instrument. Selecting one fixed the issue.
Please change the thread title to indicate the problem is solved.
Ok, ive changed it, but i would still like to know what was happening.
The thing is iM1 will be listening to all connected midi devices. So it will be listening to all the midi devices that the nektar is exposing. Routing your nektar through aum to im1 will only cause it to play double notes and that will impact your voice count.
Best is to set im1 to a single midi channel that is not used by the nektar. That way you can route the midi through aum. You will need to change midi channels within aum. For this I wrote a Mozaic script:

Thanks,. Thats what i thought but why only the one note? Even if i transposed the octaves it would be the same note.
I have each instrument in AUM being controlled by the Nektar, each no a different midi channel. I then use the buttons on the Nektar to scroll through the different global midi channels. I keep the other buttons to call up patches 1-7 from each instrument.
Maybe the second midi interface is sending some control midi on pressing the lowest key. Use a midi monitor to find out what is being sent.
The script I mentioned does something special. It sends the note offs to the right channels to prevent hanging notes.
Must be something like that, but strange it was only one note (D2 or D1 if i transposed the keyboard), and only in AUM.
I wont bother with the script, its working fine now i have the relevant selection ticked, but thanks anyway.
