Loopy Pro - first guitar loop session

Finally found some time to sit down with Loopy Pro. I find it very inspiring. This is definitely a game changer in terms of how I’ll be recording guitar, as well as the kind of music I’ll be producing!

  • Nice one Ed. Like the Vibe!! I am still playing with LP and working out how I want use it as well. So many possibilities!!!

So I am curious…. And mean 10000% no disrespect or disparaging remark…. What happened there to the lead at the end that got cut off? I’m fat fingering my way around and with so many gestures I’m just curious!

  • Good example of how Loopy Pro guides to towards layering of performances. Slowly Loopy is disclosing it's secrets to me. For everything that AUM is clumsy at Loopy Pro is easy and for everything that AUM is easy to at Loopy Pro delivers too.

Oh, yeah, I didn’t realize it until after I uploaded, that I had one loop without the tail. I’ve had it looping perfectly for hours, go figure the one time I happen to be recording.

    Nice!

Thanks! I’m learning something new about LP every time I use it. I’ll be glad when I become a little more familiar with some of the settings.

    Thanks for having a listen!

  • Very nice jam, with some beautiful leads 👍

  • Yeah! 👍

What's that beautiful high lead that comes on, at 1:44 for example?

  • Great composition. I'm listening as I write. Your guitar playing is excellent. I'm really enjoying this!

That would be the SWAM Flugelhorn 🎺 complete with growl and vibrato!

Thanks Paul, there’s obviously the one guitar loop where the note gets cut off at the end of the loop, but it’s all part of the loopy learning process I reckon lol

Thanks for giving my track a spin!

  • I like the sounds you are making with this. Maybe I’m weird ( ok, not maybe 😁) but I’m still struggling to build a song out of loopers. Guess I’ll have to keep watching videos like yours and try to figure out how to incorporate that workflow into mine. Speaking of the video, really enjoyed watching that, too. Good stuff, Edward. Hope you have a great New Year.

Thanks for having a watch and listen. This is definitely a new workflow for me, and I feel like I haven’t even scratched the surface of what Loopy Pro is capable of.

I’ve seriously got about 30 new projects going lol!
