Overloud THU (midi problems in Loopy Pro)

Hello. I’m hoping someone can help me. I just pick up THU and wow! Sounds great. I’m trying to use inside Loopy Pro as an AU which works but I can’t get midi control working from my Morningstar MC8. I’m trying to change presets with PC messages and effect parameters with CCs. (It works fine standalone) I have midi routed through Loopy Pro. THU simply will not respond to program changes or cc’s from the MC8. Does anyone have any ideas?

  • It is working reliably for me, but THU's setup as an AU is a little weird (it lists input devices, but I think it really gets its input from the MIDI you pipe to it -- but let's check that out).

First thing to try: setup a few buttons to send program changes to THU. I recommend using numbers 0 through 3. Do they work when you tap them to switch between the first four presets of whatever bank you have open?

Second thing: set up a button widget. For the Toggle state, add Send CC 0 to TH-U. Does that work?

If those work then we can go ahead and troubleshoot why these aren't working from your pedalboard.

(If all else fails, you can have widgets send your PC and CC messages to THU and trigger the widgets from your foot pedal.)
