Your favorite way to touch samples?
The main reasons I got an iPad originally was Samplr and Borderlands. I love being able to literally touch the waveforms and move through them. While all the DAWs, sequencers, drum machines, fx, etc., are great on the iPad, the touchscreen really shines with apps like those.
Since then, I've played with:
- iDensity (which is fun)
- Fieldscaper (which I honestly don't dig that much)
- Spacecraft (fantastic)
- Segments (good, but not quite what I'm looking for)
- Tardigrain/Quanta/FRMS (all great, but not quite what I'm looking for)
The bow tool in Samplr is, by far, one of my favorite features in any app I have. Are there any other apps that I'm missing that let you really touch the samples to play them in more than just "touch to trigger" ways?
Comments
BLEASS SampleWiz 2 has a nice touch mode for triggering and playing the sound by touching the waveform.
Off topic, but sorta on: Tasty Chips GR-1 is so cool 😎
Samplr is amazing for that
Yeah it is!
It is! I was wondering what else is out there.
Does Bleass tend to update/add more features? Is SW2 worth it if I have all those other things?
No (but I wouldn’t be surprised if more patch IAPs come) and no. You already have the best options.
