Izotope Iris 2 equivalent on iOS

Is there an equivalent of Iris 2 on iOS? I can do similar things with automating filters, but Iris 2 lets you draw your frequencies and seems to be a fun way to doodle and get interesting results.

  • BLEASS SampleWiz 2, other than the “doodling” as far as I can tell this is the most fun and very usable/capable equivalent of Iris 2. I need to dive a little deeper into still but at a fraction of the cost ($19.99 I think) and the supreme confidence one can have about any product engineered by BLEASS or dreamed up by Mr. Rudess makes it a must-have, no-brainer if you are using granular/synths/sampling in your music or sound design.

  • Hmmmmm…. Nothing leaps to mind as a straight equivalent. You might have to do the same creative filtering in another app, write the samples out, and then load them into a sampler of your choice. Samplewiz 2 only has 1 layer vs Iris’s 4, but it still has a lot of fun possibilities and control (with 2 destinations for most mod sources). Iris has like 4+ envelopes and lfos that can be generously assigned to all sorts of destinations…. I think Quanta’s matrix gives you a little taste of that. FRMS has 4 layers but is granular. But both Quanta and FRMS are straight up granular synths. I say get a few and layer them in AUM. Tardigrain is fun too! And while nothing like Iris 2, Samplr is awesome

A few virsyn synths come to mind, the ones that let you draw spectra.

Cube Synth Pro is the best but Addstation is also really nice

  • Virtual ANS is still quite unique when it comes to painting a spectrum for sounds :sunglasses:
