Synthmaster notes stuck update

edited January 2022 in General App Discussion

Stuck notes still…I have a single instance of SM1 or SM2 or SMP in AUM in either AUv3 or standalone, with every midi message filtered out excpet notes on and off, and sustain, and get stuck notes within 5 minutes of playing from external keyboards everytime. PLEASE can we have an update as to whether this is being looked into or not. I have bought nearly every available synth app to find an alternative, and keep coming back to the great sounds here - but cannot use live because of this fundemental issue that I see posted by many others too. Thank you. I have posted this in the developers page too hoping for a response (again).

  • Hello! Purchased both SM1 and 2, and i have same problem. Is there any news from devs about that?

Apparently not. I cannot recall them ever addressing this concern. They might have, but I haven't seen an acknowledgment.

  • I submitted another ticket about this issue tonight. I will report back if I hear anything.

  • I had issues with stuck notes on SM1 a while back and they fixed it.
I'm still on the beta program so perhaps I'm more up to date but pretty sure the fixes they did for my AUM session were rolled out.

I was controlling through a Daw though (Garageband, Cubasis), but also got them to stick with Midi loaded into an atom2 in AUM. Providing this AUM session to them was the key to fixing my issue.

This sounds harder to diagnose if MIDI is coming in from an external source, but if you can record the MiDI then replicate the problem just by playing it back then the devs will have something to go on.

  • I have the same issue, i mailed them about the issue they asked more information about it, so i recorded a video about how the notes get stuck when i use my midi keyboard and no answer reply after that.

Hi folks, in order to diagnose this issue better we added an option to save the received midi log from the menu. When you have a stuck note issue please tap preset name at the top and a menu will pop up, on that menu please choose "Save Midi Log". Please save the file and send it to me so that we can diagnose much quicker.

    thanks!

(btw midi log saving feature is for SM1 and 2)
