Soundcloud login and upload problems
Anyone else having problems with Soundcloud?
Uploading new tracks gives me an error 500 in Gadget. AudioShare even fails to login though I can login without a problem on SoundCloud.com with the same credentials. But uploading tracks on the site doesn’t work either…

I suspect there's been some kind of server farm DoS attack today as I had a few web apps that I rely on failing earlier today (for example pinboard.in when down). If you haven't already found that it's now working, wait 6-8 hours and see how you fare then.
@jonmoore I’m having this problem since at least a week (don’t remember exactly when it started).
Only very short (<1 min) recordings get uploaded fine.
Tried 2 other SC accounts, different device, attempted to login/upload through mobile connection.
Mate, did you try uploading to Soundcloud via Safari?
@jwmmakerofmusic Yes, only works with short fragments. Longer ones seem to upload and process fine, it’ll say: “ Ready. Click Save to post this track”. But hitting save does nothing..
and I haven’t reached my upload limit.
That's very odd. Hopefully this all gets sorted soon.
Yes. To upload my projects I have been using the SoundCloud iPad client app and accessing the iPad file system. Seems like it started about 2 weeks ago. AudioShare also offers a login through Facebook option but I don't have that set up properly or it also broke at the same time. I've tried creating additional soundcloud approved login accounts but nothing works from Audioshare. The SoundCloud client works well for uploads.
Weird problem, today I am able to upload via Safari..
But I prefer to upload through Gadget since that’s the only way they end up in ‘GadgetCloud’.
Gadget still giving the http error (and no login through AudioShare).
But I see others posting new tracks through Gadget. So apparently not everyone is affected.
So, can others login to soundcloud through AudioShare, or does everyone get the “login failed” response above?
I get the login failed response.
I have the feeling AudioShare works until one logs out, then they can’t login anymore. Not 100% sure though..
I bet Soundcloud changed their API causing this. Perhaps @j_liljedahl can have a look?
Still can’t upload through Gadget either, only very short tracks, anything longer gives the HTTP error.
AudioShare direct upload stopped working for me ages ago (latest OS, IPad 2018.) I switched to saving the file int the AudioShare folder in the File app, then doing the upload from the SoundCloud home page for my stuff. Works fine.
Yes, they changed their API but abandoned their SDK. A reminder of why one shouldn't rely on 3rd party SDKs..
Indeed, just use the soundcloud app or website and upload from there. You can access AudioShare Files from there as well.
Still having this problem. But I see everyone uploading new tracks to GadgetCloud.
Anyone here getting the “http error” when uploading songs (longer than 1 min) to GadgetCloud?
Would like to find a fix for this
Found out what causes the HTTP error when uploading to GadgetCloud: if the song is Saved with an emoticon in the title I get the HTTP error.
Removing the emoticon through Save As will solve it. The emoticon can be added afterwards in the upload Title name field, no problem.
