I found some great old radio shows in my Internet Archive digging. Inspired by the voice samples from the "Marocchino Cherry" video by @Daveypoo

I thought it might be fun to try making a video incorporating scenes from different movies to make a narrative to ( sort of ) match the audio. Hope you enjoy.

Public Domain footage from "Missile to the Moon", "Killers From Space", the opening sequence from "Flash Gordon", and the television series " Captain Z-Ro". Radio recording from the Science Fiction Anthology Show.
Music created with AudioLayer, Steel Guitar, Rock Drum Machine, Synthmaster Player, MelodyBud, MixBox and Impulsation. Recorded and mixed in AUM and arranged in Cubasis 3

  • This was excellent, but far too short. This is a great start - I'd love to hear this fleshed out as a full length track.

That fifties version of the universe was a lot more comforting. The communist paranoia went over an eight year old’s head so it was corny but pure. Intense guitar, as always, very fun.

Thank you @Daveypoo. It's funny, years ago when I wrote songs with lyrics I had no problem making 3 or 4 minutes of music with a verses, a chorus and a bridge. Now that the majority of what I create is instrumental I have a hard time getting beyond an "A" section. It might be a good challenge for my next creation to go a little longer.

Thank you @LinearLineman . I am so glad that public domain allows me to play with such fun material. Corny sure, but you are right. There's an earnestness in those movies. Intense guitar is my favorite sound. I'm a product of the hair metal 80's. (Unfortunately now sans most the hair).

As always, thanks so much for listening.

    Nice

    Thank you.

  • You have done it again! I agree with @Daveypoo that it could be a bit longer. But, on the bright side, it left me wanting more.
    Good stuff, Mac!

Thanks Paul! I know a couple of people have mentioned on your recordings that you have a knack for changing things up to maintain interest. It's an ability I admire and will have to try to emulate if I intend to make my creations a little longer. Thanks for listening and commenting.

Thank you @muzka. I appreciate you listening. I think I might revisit this one. Just need to figure out where to take it now.

Thank you Edward! I'm like a kid in a candy store at the Internet Archive looking through old films trying to find something that fits my ideas.
