MIDI controllable tap-tempo with MIDI clock out

salutations, audiobusriders. i love the audiobus. there is some ios functionality that must exist, yet i can't find it. i control my ipad with a launchkey61. much of my performance related ipad use ideally does not require multitouch, as i prefer to map controllers to my ipad output for performance behavior. i DESPERATELY need an audiobus supported MIDI clock master that has tap tempo which can be controlled by a MIDI controller.
i love the tightness of s4, yet there is no MIDI support for the tap tempo button. my current workaround (loopy as MIDI clock master - ehich i do not use for any other reason) is mushy at best.
there must be a solution!
help, audiobus!Thanks,
TLo

  • DrumJam has a midi controllable tap tempo (CC 104) and clock master support. Not sure if using it as a workaround will be any better for you, but it should work fine with an empty loop preset if you don't want to hear anything from it.

  • great. does thumbjam have the same functionality?

  • Sadly, it does not yet.

  • thank you!

  • Is this the 'only' ios app with this type of functionality (tap tempo and midi clock)? I need something that I can slave BM2, Genome and some additional synths to. Is there much processing overhead to running Drumjam if I'm only using it for this midi clock?

  • Loopy has it too.
