I don’t know if people from Virsyn are watching the forum but it seems the AU is broken with the new update, when I open a project containing AudioLayer (let’s say all my projects, AudioLayer is my synth, my drummer, my everything) I obtain a message « not installed ».

    Am I alone ? 😱☺️

Have you tried opening the app stand-alone? Restarting the device?

Are you able to load AudioLayer in new project?

Does this happen in all hosts, or just the unnamed host you're using?

Edit: Which iPadOS version are you using?

working ok here...I expect it's an OS version issue, unless rebooting fixes

  • When was the update? I have no updates for it lined up nor have there been any for a fair while (I’m on UK app store).

I was literally running a number of instances of auv3 AudioLayer last night in NS2 during a mixing session of my latest track - no issues with it for me here.

I’m running ios14.something-or-other on iPhone XR if that helps?

  • Yes definitely the best multi-sampler on the platform. It does crash for me occasionally but only with big libraries.

I have Audiolayer, but haven’t really explored it yet. Bought it to import patches and now I’m considering the Everything From Samples From Mars package (before the offer expires). Is it relatively easy to import patches from SFM or is it not that smooth a process?
I read somewhere that people were struggling with it. And I don’t know anything about Exs files, etc. I just like the sounds that SFM showcase and want to play around with them on my iPad.

I bought AudioLayer shortly after I bought the SFM bundle for this exact purpose and to answer your question... it isn't very smooth BUT I've successfully added some SFM instruments to AudioLayer by referencing this walkthrough on the wiki:

    https://wiki.audiob.us/doku.php?id=audiolayer_exs_import

And there are some good discussions in these threads that have helped:

    Today

I am also always impressed by the number of instances I can open with AudioLayer, big libraries, no crash, no stucked notes, this app is gold !

Aha! Yes - it’s appeared in my list now (even though it says “yesterday”…)

  • The modified title is now really epic! 🤣

  • Oh sweet, regarding batch import.

  • Now if only the AU parameters were exposed.

That’s great. Thanks a lot. Does anyone know if the new update makes it simpler to import patches from eg. Samples from Mars? Sorry, I’m a bit of a noob with these patches and samplers.

I’d be interested to know this too. I could never be bothered with the faff of importing as there always seemed like so many hoops to jump through.
