@McD Well, the comparison video shows Pure Piano doing a good job of filling in the low end. Low notes are nice and positive without being at all muddy. I don’t have Pure Piano, but I’m tempted.
The variety you can get from Pure Piano's X-Y grid user interface is a huge selling point.
Then you learn that you can also control the X-Y pointer with CC automation which is pretty unique in the Piano app category... note selection is also randomized:
