Bram Bos "I'll let you in on a little secret, I'm not actually a developer. I'm more of a designer."
Maybe that will inspire more to spend 20 years to learn how to code apps and still NOT consider yourself a developer.
The developer of Serum was also a musical that dug into coding and created a synth that musicians covet.
Nice! 👍
One comment surprised me a little... paraphrasing “the market is big and growing”
On one hand I can see what they mean, on the other hand is it actually true, or is it just due to easier access / lower entry costs - which I can’t help but feel a bit counterproductive... like entitlement, unrealistic expectations, sustainability etc?
The potential market is huge. Easier access and lower cost of entry for potential users only works to make that potential market more realizable. Sustainable? I don't know. The App store almost forces you into an FL Studio like model. There are probably enough new users coming in everyday for this to work if you can charge enough for the individual apps. Charging enough doesn't gel well with App Store pricing expectations though. It feels to me like Apple wants devs to go whaling (as in loot boxes). Is that sustainable for music apps? I have doubts.
Definitely gonna check this one out .
Really great guests! Massive respect for all of them 👊
I found the questions pretty dry. I would love to have heard a bit more about their experiences, their approach to creativity, etc.
Still, a quality conversation. Nice one. 👍
This looks like fun! Thanks
