Awesome, thanks. Here they seem to go for around 150 , same as the Zoom U-22 but that still puts them at the lower end of the price bracket. Thanks again, I appreciate the inside information.
Good luck with whatever you decide. Always nice to find a solid “plug n play” option for recording or even just playing guitar.
I ended up getting one of these and so far it is perfect. I was wondering if you ever have the problem where you plug it in but it isn't recognised, no lights on but the ipad says it has been connected. I'm wondering if the time to plug it in is after Cubasis is loaded. How do you go about this?
Every once in a while this may happen. I can’t ever remember off the top of my head but I think I read in a forum somewhere that you have to plug it in/ set it up a certain way.
1) Plug in MVi.
2) Open DAW/ arm track.
3) Plug in guitar.
4) plug in headphones into MVi audio out.
It’s like the iPad thinks the headphones are the input if you do it differently. I usually just start it all again if I have an issue, lights or otherwise.
Thanks. I think it'll be fine if I just open Cubasis et. al. and plug it in.
Just wondering if you know any more about this. I find that if I mute the input I get a really low signal remaining. Tried in standalone apps (noise gate off, and in Cubasis).
Hey, hope all is well. Can you tell me a bit more about which lights are on / off? If you have a really low signal remaining, that is likely the unprocessed sound.
I think as long as you have the MVi in the flat mode all you need to do is press the middle button.
Also, I sometimes will use the Shure Motiv app just to make sure things are working. Don’t always need it but every once in a while something is screwy and I have to check using their software.
Will have a look at the app. I have been using it in flat mode. So "mode" light is on, "flat" is on, and the monitoring light is red. Like that the sound is crap/low. If I turn monitoring on it's fine but I can hear the dry signal.
Hmmm. Next time I have this near me (left it at work for lunch breaks) I’ll see what I can do.
I can try it out in Cubasis 3 to see if there is an issue.
I tried it in the testflight of Chow BYOD as well. Same deal.
I recently purchased Mixbox for IPad, I using an IRig pro duo, however I can’t get signal in or out from mixbox using the standalone version? Any suggestions would be appreciated. FYI the mix box effects work while using AUM. So I’m assuming the issue is not with the IRig… or maybe it is?
Have you tried using the headphone output? The various iRig Pro modes are complicated, and not always what you expect.
Thanks for responding. Yes I’m using the headphone out of the IRig po duo, it works when I use mixbox effects while in AUM, but no sound out In the stand alone mode with mixbox. I’m not seeing and indicator lights for the input or output signals in Mixbox standalone mode, only get signal visuals while using in AUMs effect node/slot.
Does your iRig pro duo work fine in AUM for input and output? If so, the issue is setting up mixbox. It is rare for an interface to work with one app but not another.
Is stand-alone maybe muting the output to "prevent feedback"? Maybe there's a way to unmute it.
what is the state of the monitoring toggle (circled at bottom left)? if it is on, check the audio setup.
Thanks, I’ll check it out…
Ok, under the audio setup “I/O setup”, the driver states “iOS audio” as the input, output states iOS audio which highlighted, the IRig pro Duo is not highlighted, but the left and right channels are lighted upl
Thanks to all who responded. I didn’t have the monitor switch in the “on” position on the IRig, got it working now.
I spoke too soon…the monitor on allows me to hear a dry signal, but mixbox does not recognize the IRig pro duo….not sure what s happening…
Quick question… in the above pic, you show th play button and speaker…do I need to press play?
And toggle the speaker so it’s not muted?
Please post screenshots the three Audio Setup tabs.
If AUM sees your interface, it is almost certain that MIXBOX does as well.
