Automation with Turnado?
Is it possible? I like to add stutter and some other stuff while recording in AUM but it is a bit much. Should I just leave trying to automate turnado alone or do you have some other tips for inserting stutter effects at special parts of a song?
I am using Xequence 2

If I am using AUM and automating Turnado I just get everything dialed in mix wise and then manually record the automation parts. I can usually get it within a couple takes and I also get quite a few happy accidents out of doing it that way too.
I once managed to set up turnado with 4pockets midimixer. I had it so that whatever I did in turnado was sent out and recorded in midimixer. I then changed the routing to send everything back from midimixer into turnado.
I’m a midi fiddler and usually botch my way around until I stumble upon a solution. If you think this might be a useful workflow for you I can look for the session and see if I can provide more detail…
You can use Drambo for that. Use Graphic Modulator to control a set CC# modulation over time. You can also use Atom 2 + a Mozaic script form Patchstorage called Key To CC and control the CC modulation with notes from the pianoroll. You can also use Brams Perforator to send midi CC out or StepPolyArp for example….
I’ll give this a shot. Thanks for the tip. Picked up Turnado and wasn’t sure if I could also use it for production, as opposed to live performance.
There is a lot of ways. You could use Helium for that (make a 1/128 grid or so, brush in a line of notes on the pianoroll for as long as you’d like, and then brush in the CC# changes in the modulation editor. Then send only the CC to Turnado).
Or could use Thesis. Or LK….and so on
You can automate it with Korg Gadget Taipei. There’s an entry on the forum here about how to set it up if you want to have a search for it - I asked about it a long while ago and got a good reply. I haven’t used it for ages and I couldn’t tell you off the top of my head - but it’s there
