Ableton update is now Mac M1 Native
It was already fast under Rosetta so looking forward to the update. Might have to stop using non native plugins though until they are updated.

I've been using the beta for a while and it's pretty good. The release version seems a bit snappier, even.
I think, although still waiting for my new mbp, that it's possible to use x86 plugins in native daw as long as there are au. Vsts don't work.
I haven’t been keeping up. does Mac M1 native mean that it will only work on M1 computers and up? Am I going to have to upgrade my computer to use it?
No, it'll still support Intel CPUs but expect a nice performance boost if you have an M1 CPU.
Yes there’s now 3 versions you can download, Windows 64bit, Mac Universal and Mac Intel.
Is the M1 version compatible with Intel VSTs? Not having access to VCV Rack Studio 2 is a bummer.
You would be able to force the universal version to run in Rosetta and run x86 VST, but then you'd be running the x86 binary of Live too. You can't mix the architecture types with VST.
Still no AUv3 support, which would be great on M1 Mac, with their iPad music apps.
that is a real shame
