Power delivery usb charger recommendation

Hi all,

Can anyone recommend a specific high power usb charger (B to C) that I can use with my Anker PD hub thing? With my current charger, I can't keep a full charge. I would love a link to something that works for someone already.

Thanks!

  • Well, Anker makes several chargers that might fit the bill, including several with "GaN" tech (silicon alternative that allows for smaller chargers that produce less heat). But you might check the specifications of your hub to ensure it'll be able to pass enough wattage to fix your problem.

You say "B to C", but in fact it will have to be "C to C" to support Power Delivery. USB-C Power Delivery requires the devices to negotiate a higher voltage (15 or 20 V typically) in order to deliver higher power (watts), and a USB-B connector can only have 5 volts, because that's the rule.

That might explain the lack of charging...

    How about this guy:

Yeah, I guess so. It says it does Power Delivery 3.0, total of 100 W on the two USB-C ports. It'd be nice to know if it can deliver 100 W to one port, or if each port is limited to 50 W. But it should meet your needs.
