Kymatica’s AUv3fx:1 - 4 bundle
I’ve never really felt the need to purchase any of the Kymatica AUv3’s but recently picked up the EQ, as an alternative to a ‘cup of coffee’ donation. BTW I’m not attempting to convince others to follow my goodwill motivation, but AUM is the only app on my devices that I can honestly say get’s used at least once a day so that’s why I’m motivated in this way.
When I saw that I could complete the bundle for a little over a tenner, I thought what the hell, I’d started a new project this morning and I thought I’d use the opportunity to take the Kymatica AUv3's for a spin. And what a pleasant surprise!
AUv3fx: Push - can be a clean digital compressor or it can add loads of personality via limiter/clipper section.
AUv3fx: Dub - in much the same way, this can be polite and controlled, or dirty, gnarly, and wild.
Auv3fx: Space - I had the least expectations of the reverb but was greeted with a verb that's got a controllable set of parameters to work with, and a distinct sonic signature of its own.
Best tenner (ish) I've spent in a while.
Whilst my motivation to pick up the bundle was goodwill, what I got in return was a tidy little bundle of FX that doesn't break the CPU, whilst having character in spades. Very nice work @j_liljedahl.
They make a perfect set of first-time tools (that don't break the bank) for those just getting into the delights of AUM too.

I'm basically in the exact same boat as you - picked up the EQ the other day and was super impressed. Saw the bundle this AM and loaded it into my "I shall reconsider this purchase after I've had my coffee" brain folder, so this post is actually going to make me pull the trigger. Not gonna lie, sifting through the world of iOS tools is daunting, especially so when it comes to effects.
This is kinda ironic I know but...
@j_liljedahl It could be handy to have the manual embedded in all the AUv3FX apps
As much as they all seem to have been designed to be super intuitive, embedding the manual in all the apps makes a lot of sense simply in terms of consistency across the apps. Plus it's all too easy to forget how much of the vernacular used in audio production is double-dutch to those first starting out with audio production.
Yes, my OCD brain has already told me I must do this
Thanks! Glad you like them. Personally, AU3FX:Space is honestly my favorite reverb, along with FAC Alteza.
@j_liljedahl These are among my very favorite plugins but AUv3fx Dub and Space are failing to load in Logic Pro iPad. Hopefully they’ll be updated soon. Thanks.
In what way do they fail? Works fine here when I tried.
@j_liljedahl thanks for responding. Logic wouldn’t load them and instead displayed an error message. Sorry, I don’t remember exactly what it said. I tried multiple times on different days. If all four are working for you in Logic, I’ll download and try them again and report back.
@j_liljedahl Okay, I reinstalled all four AUv3fx apps and restarted the iPad (M1 Pro). Dub and Space load into the plugins area but crash when opened (see below). I think this is what was happening previously. And oddly, PeakQ and Push, which were okay before, aren’t available at all…
That is very weird. I'm using the AppStore version of AU3FX plugins and Logic Pro, on iPadOS 16.5. What OS version are you on?
Also 16.5 and AU3FX freshly downloaded from the app store.
@j_liljedahl I tried the plugins again this morning and they’re all working perfectly in Logic Pro. I don’t think I’ve changed anything about the setup that would explain why but I’m glad I can use them again.
Also, sometimes app websites disappear before the app does.
