Plugin Recommendations for SWAM Ensembles

I am looking for an AUV3 effect that can help me make string/brass sections using fewer system resources and without freezing tracks. I have been looking at Eventides offerings (Micropitch, Crystals) but I am wondering if there are other options out there to consider. Ya’ll have something in their toolkit you can recommend?

Edit: I have purchased 4pockets Vocal Soloist and found it quite good as a stand in for harmonized solo instruments during the arranging process which can be swapped out for actual SWAM instances before mix down.

  • I’m interested also. There are some YouTube vids, but I’m just waiting for the actual swam ensembles app due this year on the roadmap :)

Oh wow I didn’t know that was coming at all! Good to know!

Shortcuts won’t sound as good. Real sections have constantly shifting tuning and timing variation that is the opposite of random. You’ll get the best string section by playing in the same part by hand on a mono instrument many times.

  • VirSyn (Harry Gohs) Harmony Eight. Make small delays and pitch changes and you can have up to eight “voices” playing one part using only one instance of a SWAM AUv3. Has some built in effects too.

    Amazing, thank you!

Ah nice, forgot about this one.

  • Harmonizr is a good alternative to Harmony Eight.
