  • That’s today isn’t it?

  • Guess we'll have some videos to look forward to then...

  • My guess is on Kai & HaQ...

  • Where can we find out what it is?

  • I thought Waves would surprise us with CR8 AUv3 but nah...

Then I re-read the post and it was for 'Desktop', nope won't go down that rabbit hole...

    My bad - 17th...!!

  • Yep - gonna be VERY interesting...

    From the man himself:

"I am rather proud to announce that tomorrow I will launch a new plugin (AU/VST/AAX) with AudioThing. Work on this has been ongoing for half a year, and it turned from a simple thing to something bigger. It is an instrument that I know many of you will appreciate, especially those among you working with film, games, theatre and other media scoring.

Gotta shut up now, that is already more than I told anybody else 😄"

  • Audiothing and Hainbach are on fire 🔥🔥☀️

I picked it up for $9.99 on the desktop with the Cosmos Sample Library tool for free. It's pretty nice.

Does it require install of iLok or any similar 'crap'?
I'm quite happy with Logic's QuickSampler for my sampling needs.

I avoid anything with iLok. It’s the worst.

No iLok. Just their install Software...Waves Central which requires the website log-in and password. Just like Native Instruments and Arturia do these days.

  • Yeah Waves is pretty easy to deal with

Yeah - would be great...AudioThing have never ported one of their plugins to iOS (yet...!). Would also love to see Wires as an AUv3 but they're basically a one man operation so possibly isn't high on his todo list. Guess there's no harm in asking... https://www.audiothing.net/contact/

What about a vst player for ios!?

  • Hainbach intro video now live:

  • Interesting way of exploring samples, I’ve got tons of recordings of my experimental gear that I’m very slowly wavetable making with, but this might be a quicker way to have some unexpected fun with them…

  • So, it's $45 for what sounds like "room tone"? That's not something I'd need.

  • Nice demo, it’s kinda like a simple fundamental that you can homebrew a bit…

It goes up to $69 in 4 weeks time, so if you want it get in fast.

  • This guy at Audiothing is missing out on money.because if he and Hainbach released these things for IOS
I would buy all of them. Can anyone get in touch with these guys?

Hainbach told me that it is not a simple exercise. He said that Audiothing hasn't done an iOS App yet and that he likes to do things properly and sometimes there are issues going from mouse-drive to touch interface.

They are aware that the are iOS people who would love their plug ins to be in iOS. But a few emails asking for iOS versions can't hurt

I think it is a lot more than a room tone. I don't know if you watched the last half of the video, but that's where he shows how you can manipulte the sounds to make your own unique patches.
