ICYMI -Texture/Noise in Play Pits. (FFO Hainbach’s Noises etc) 🏄‍♂️

Dirty self-promo/heads up for those that already have it….

Anyone looking for something ballpark to Hainbach’s Noises instrument on iOS might wanna check out/revisit the COTCD ‘Play Pits’ Drambo instrument/sample bank 👀 Primarily the samples/presets focus on melodic & drums sounds but there’s a sample folder called ‘Spherics’ that has noise/texture samples in it. And you can also import or rec any samples you want (shown in the last part of the video).

Was gonna make a proper video but Storm Eunice is blowing the house around & kids are home from school so here’s quick screen grab of first stuff it randomly spat out this morning. Check the video description for more info on what’s going on in each chapter of the video.

Video Notes -
All sounds in video are samples from the ‘Spherics’ Play Pits sample folder (except the samples in the last part that show being recorded from radio).

Automation’s currently only available in Drambo beta.

Drambo standalone in the video but Drambo AU runs in AUM/Loopy Pro etc.

Silence between 03:59 - 04:14 = forgot to take the samplers out of rec mode 🤦‍♂️

Play Pits Notes -
Bunch of stuff not shown in the video. -
Play the ‘soup’ chromatically on keys as an instrument or for stacked drones/ambient at different pitches.
Sliced drums presets.
Midi transpose per sample.
Arpeggiator.
Check other Play Pits videos for more info on the melodic/drums presets.
Etc.. ✌️🦧

Changing ‘Source’ to ‘Ext.In.1’ on the Flexi rec page switches to device mic…. = use phone/iPad mic for instant field recordings direct in to the XY corners

And if you wanna change the loop/play mode on the samples it’s here.

Saw a few people grabbed Drambo Vol.1 &/or Vol.2…..Quick heads up - I wasn’t saving Racks in Compact View back then (can’t remember why or if that feature existed at the time?). But if you hit the Compact View button at end of rack, then you can flick through presets with the left/right arrows at other end of the rack without having to open browser every time thnx again!
