Drambo sequencer pattern change when hosted in Cubasis
Sorry of this is a bit basic but I'm only just really exploring Drambo... Had it since release (the shame!)
Had a search but can't find the answer...
I'm using Drambo as drum sequencer hosted within Cubasis 3.
I've created several patterns that I now want to switch between using Cubasis.
On Drum Computer and Hammerhead I'm able to switch between patterns by using a midi note on the piano roll usually stating at c-1 etc. I can't seem to get Drambo to do this.
Can anyone recommend a way to make Cubasis tell Drambo to play different patterns?
Comments
Create a blank or instrument track in Cubasis 3 and route the midi out to the track that has dRambo.
In dRambo midi map the patterns and you should be able to change the patterns via midi in Cubasis 3.
Thanks.
Sorry but a little more help for a Drambo beginner please.
I've hit midi learn on Drambo and everything has gone blue! Now I press on the pattern to get Midi map. Now I've got a choice of event type, number, control type, channel and range. Not sure what's next tbh.
I've set up a blank track in Cubasis and routed it through to Drambo.
If you can send in the event you want to use (maybe note on), Drambo will learn it. Otherwise, you need to decide what event you want to use to select the pattern, maybe use a range of notes similar to Hammerhead, and set it up accordingly.
Thank you
I have stopped trying to learn Drambo.. because of the pending update.. looks like a lot will be changed..
@FPC in addition to what uncledave has written.
When in midi learn, long pressing the pattern will bring up the
inputting menu where you can chose to use either cc messages or midi notes.
MIDI mapping will remain so your preparation work won't be lost
Thanks. I'd given up - I'm not a natural at figuring things like this out. Will have another go tomorrow 😊
It’s not that obvious.
No problem. 🙂
