Cubasis 3.4 AUX Tracks (With Neon Audio Editor )

Hi everyone.
I just uploaded a video showing how to be creative in Cubasis 3.4 using Neon to create “true” Aux tracks.
Hope you find it useful.

  • Thanks for this. :)

  • that's pretty neat trick.. i love when people are creative in avoiding apps limitations .. huge thumb up 👍

I'm not sure I understand the main thing. He said at 56s that the track no.19 is panned to the left and he wanted to add reverb+delay to the right channel. And then he said the only way how to do that is to duplicate track and apply mentioned effects there.

My question is ... why not just add reverb+dly as send effects and pan them? There must be something I'm not getting. I don't have Cubasis yet, so I can't try it myself.

  • This is possible with Pro-C too. You can even compress the signal if you want. ;)

  • @filo01 @Luxthor how many effects are on the “aux track”? The Cubasis limitation is that an aux can only have a single effect, not a chain like a track. I’ve not watched but this is a trick to “freeze” an aux send? This can be avoided by using a single effect I.e. a multi-effect which can internally build the chain, MixBox, etc. @LFS we’d still love a full Aux Track ;)

Can’t you create group tracks for this too? I realize it would be a little redundant??? But isn’t that what they are for?

Still very cool. How do you do this with TB EQ or Barricade @Luxthor?

Sadly, it’s the gimmick! More than one side-chained instance of Pro-C will not work. If you add Neon, then you have Bus with two sends, until the internal buffer goes crazy and starts to crackle. About the FX chain, you can use many. (I didn't test the maximum.)

I only have free apps from Toneboosters, not because they are not good enough, but because my choice was FabFilters. You need to find FX with side-chain ability with monitoring, that's all about it. But use this only if you must.
