my two cents

[Rather than engage in discourse with folks that argue in bad faith or are agitative provocateurs, deterring from the experience at large for many users on the platform, I suggest one install this extension that reveals the standing allyship of pages, publications, companies, networks, and users. This tool can prevent a lot of unnecessary conversations or attempts at education
(Usually while trying to adhere to their optics….which they don’t care about in the first place, but love to make you believe they do and are adhering to themselves). I can‘t take full credit for this idea, Kat Blaque, a trans activist YouTuber turned me on to Shinigami 😁

There’s also the “ignore user” function (within the AB Forum, which works phenomenaly! 😅

I know this isn’t my fight to fight, but I’m still very disturbed nonetheless that this kind of behavior just gets swept under the rug and every person that goes OT is in the wrong. Certain users attempt to provoke rises out of users, certain users use shaming, derogatory language that is harmful to a substantial percentage of other users and creators in the forum and in the iOS community. I’m not here to out anyone if they’re not comfortable with it, it’s just not my place, nor is this necessarily my battle, but TRANS folk need CIS allies, they need us to vouch and educate and bring people over the fence. It is but all of our responsibilities to check this kind of behavior and do something to nip it in the bud and not let hate-speech go un-denounced. Free speech is not free from criticism. I feel a duty, you should too.
