Helium loop length question

Is it true that in loop mode, all tracks in Helium must have the same loop length? wanted to adjust loop length on individual tracks. Haven’t figured out how. When I change loop length on one track, it changes for every track.

Comments

  • I was waiting for the experts to weigh in, but I do use Helium enough to think I can semi-confidently say, your assertion is correct: one loop length for all tracks. And I’m pretty sure the same can be said for any multitrack software. It’s also a tracker, not a dedicated sequencer. Know what I mean?
Try Drambo. It can do anything.
Or you can use multiple instances of helium to achieve what you want: One for each track. But that could be a work flow buzz-kill, depending on how you work. But that is actually how I use Helium. But I also don’t do a lot of editing once I have my parts recorded to Helium, and I keep minimal orchestration. Only four tracks including drums.

  • Now I know! Things are starting to make sense. If you’re not an expert, you had me fooled. Thanks for the helpful info on workflow as well. In the process of trying to figure that out
