I haven’t updated my phone nor pad since 14 cause I routinely read on here about how apple updates break music apps. but it’s been a while so… is it safe to upgrade? thanks.

I haven't personally encountered any problems transitioning from 14 to 15 (13 to 14 was a mess!). That said I think there are other threads here where people discuss it.
Updated my iPad from 13.7 to 15 last week, haven’t tested all my apps yet because I have so many but so far so good, but again, I have a LOT I still have to test.
14 to 15 has been smooth for me. I think all the problems I've had were on early betas.
I was hesitant to upgrade, too but haven't had any issues. I use a fair number of IAA apps, too. iPad gen 6.

Just today some people in another thread were indicating that the latest update breaks IDAM so while I’ve been on 15 for a while, now may not be a good time to upgrade to the latest.
That’s a good point. 15.4 is a pretty major update, so you may want to sit it out until the next release
Thanks all. I was looking at 15.3.something but yeah I see we’re now at 15.4.
Whelp, I just now upgraded my phone so I can test things out here before messing with my iPad. All my music making is 100% iPad.
