AUM: transpose keyboard without triggering
is it possible to shift the keyboard left or right in aum to transpose without triggering a note?
I find this very strange, but haven't found a solution yet...

I believe if you swipe with your nose or earlobe it does not trigger a note.
Lol. Nose works. Lol. After thinking about it I don’t remember ever scrolling it with out hitting a note to drag it. Depending on what you’re trying to do there could be a workaround. If I use the AUM keyboard to play or record midi, I put it in position before recording, or use something else. xequence keys, let’s you scroll with buttons and customize key width, etc…. I don’t use AUM keyboard that often to record, usually just to pick patches and find a key I might use.
Would love +/- octave buttons on that keyboard or really any iOS keyboard that doesn’t have it.
You could use a simple StreamByter script to block out E.g. all note Cs (or whatever you weren’t going to use in your actual playing) and then just use these for scrolling
Or use StreamByter or Mozaic between the keyboard and the app to transpose by octaves. Use one of their on-screen controls to make the adjustment.
Some app keyboards (Model D, KQ Dixie, Music Studio) use a horizontal slider above the KB to drag it left or right. This is a nice feature, but maybe a job to implement.
Thanks for the answers. I actually assumed that there was a possibility, but I overlooked it.
weird because aum is such a great app with a lot of possibilities. I'm really surprised that no octave transposition is implemented without triggering a note.
maybe this can be fixed in a future update!?
@j_liljedahl has a few teasers on their Twitter about upcoming AUM tweaks (I’m looking forward to horizontal tempo menu) - Maybe when this update hits, a scrollable keyboard will be baked in.
That’s where I must have seen the cpu by app.
The coming update will let you scroll the kbd without triggering notes.
sounds great! thank you so. much!
Get we MIDI mappable bookmarks?
Next update will have "Scroll to this channel" MIDI actions, per channel so you don't even need to use bookmarks.
Wow real nice, thanks for this fast response.
@j_liljedahl when do you think will the next update be available?
Hopefully sometime within a couple of weeks.
