FAC Alteza Free Update Coming Soon - Back Up Presets Asap

Fred recently tweeted about a free update to Alteza and strongly suggested backing up all presets now before it drops to avoid losing them.

    I hope he implements a better system for saving presets soon. This would not be a concern for users if their presets were automatically saved to iCloud or disk in a standalone folder. And don't get me wrong, I love FAC apps.

    Yea agreed on all of it, love fac.

    In the AUM preset system all my Alteza presets are in alphabetical order, but in the app it’s hard to find one I want because of random order. That one forum member shared like 1400, plus I got some, so it be way better to have them in alphabetical order, maybe with user and factory presets separated.

    Hmm…

    Do we know if this update will affect AU state saved in hosts? I have a lot of AUM sessions with Alteza, and most of them don't have an actual preset stored in the plugin or in AUM. In other words, will Alteza's AU state still be recalled properly on session load? 😬

    Fixed in the beta, will be available in the next version

    To save the state => long press the preset bar in Alteza and touch "Save preset as", choose a name. Do this before the backup.

    To all: The tweet contains a lot of information, as you noticed I communicated before the update (Mar 19, 2022). The backup of your presets will help you in case of issues, although your presets should be available after the update.
