What are you making with VS - Visual Synthesizer?

I have a couple of tracks that I feel are too long to put on my SoundCloud and I'm thinking of making videos and putting them on Youtube instead.

I've been eyeing VS as a possible tool but haven't really seen much of what can be done with or if it would fit what I'm thinking about making i.e. videos for ambient tracks.

Are there any good examples of VS videos out there? I've seem some tutorials but not many finished videos...

  • I use VS sometimes for my ambient stuff.

  • Here is another

  • I use it often and love it!

It recently started getting updates that enable the user to create their own materials, so we’re at just the tip of the iceberg in terms of what this amazing app is capable of.

Here’s just a few examples of only using the stock materials. There’s a lot more on my YT channel (and more to come!)

    Nice! Love this one!

  • One more, just one more, I promise….

I remember that one! You made that right after VS came out, and I remember thinking “Ok, I’ve got to buy this VS thing!” lol

I think it’s important to note that all of these up until now, are made with the stock materials in VS. now that the material editor is live, we’re going to start seeing different stuff! (hopefully!)

  • Nice videos. You've convinced me, bought it... :)

Yes not tried it with the new material editor. Are you glad you made the leap?

  • Yea I made some stuff, but I only published two things:

    https://youtube.com/shorts/9HzcZz9ocss?feature=share

I was testing the waters a bit to what people like to see on my YT channel but interest in the VS stuff was rather low. It's really fun to work with though, I love the combination of doing audio and visual stuff.

  • Where are good places to find materials? Would definitely like to expand the palette!

  • If you want to bring your own video into in VS is the only option as the background layer? Hoping that maybe the ability to make your own materials might give you the hooks to incorporate multiple layers of your own imagery? Looking at the App Store description and most of the videos posted, I’m not sure it can do that. For my own personal case Ideally I would like to superimpose several layers of my own video footage, with each layer being processed/effected (with parameters controlled by midi). Is VS that software? If not, any other recommendations? I’m guessing a hybrid approach with multiple apps is probably the answer
