It’s first I’ve heard of them.
Here’s a link to their website.

and an article for their ELZ-1 from Sound on Sound.
“ FM synthesis, virtual analogue synthesis, 8-bit wavetable synthesis,
noise synthesis, granular synthesis... The Sonicware ELZ‑1 has got it all!”

That groovebox looks great.
Digitakt meets Gameboy?
Well that’s a direct competitor to the sp404 :-)
Which has to compare to koala !
Have seen a lot of comments of folks comparing the SP404 and Koala and then selling on the SP404.
I wonder if this would be the same.
Yes I agree, you cannot beat the ease of file management on your phone compared to hardware :-)
Curious!!! I have the liven xfm which I got on impulse for $200ish new, and it absolutely blew me away, more as a sound module than groovebox, but impressive for very unique morphing FM sounds I can't get on much of anything else
But Sonicware somehow packed in p-locks, randomization, chance, arps, pattern chaining with randomization, and dedicated 5 pin midi in and out all at that 200$ price point! So they know their audience and they know how to compete feature wise imo. Very curious...
Must resist....alas I cannot.
Backed.
sounds like an april fools joke in the making
Well then.
I’m a fan of what SonicWare is doing. Probably gonna back this honestly. As much as I don’t need it.
@echoopera considering the amount and range of gear you have or have been through, where do you see this fitting in your workflow? MPC substitute, portable workstation, other?
Tempted to back this as it looks like a potentially great piece of kit.
I ask myself this question every time 😜
You'll need a backpack
Or something like this:
no word mentioned about filters, envelopes, lfos, modulation capabilities.. wondering why, if it will be just sample player without that part, usage will be pretty limited...
with good filters , env, lfos and mod capabilities it woukd be serious Digitakt competitor
