Logic Pro X for iPad OS out in Australian store - finally, but iPad only!
Just dropped this morning in the Australian iTunes App Store…

Cupertino, California — Apple today announced the release of Logic Pro X for iPad OS. With its collection of powerful creative features, Logic Pro X for iPad OS will be a massive release for all musicians, including those producing electronic music.
“The Mac and Logic Pro X are essential tools used by the world’s top musicians and producers to create the music that we all love,” said Susan Prescott, Apple’s vice president of Apps Product Marketing. “Now Logic Pro X for iPad OS represents the biggest update to Logic since the launch of Logic Pro X, with powerful new tools that will inspire every artist — from those just getting started with Logic, to those already using it to produce Grammy Award-winning albums and even to the idiots on the AudioBus Forum. We can’t wait to hear what those bozos create next.”

I tried logic with my touchscreen and it was not a great experience, much much better with keyboard, mouse, and fader control surface. I don’t think logic on iPad (if it was just ported as is) would be as amazing as people think. So you’d probably want a keyboard and mouse hooked up.
And, I get really bad neck and back pain if I’m staring down while editing- an iPad screen would be very small for logic- my 15” mbp is really small for logic. External monitors really help. So by the time you do all of that stuff, might as well just logic on the Mac.
