  • Updated with Audiobus, including state saving and is now universal app. Thanks @sundhage

    Nice!

    Question though:

I bought the iPad app at launch --> App becomes universal --> App now shows up as a separate universal purchase on iPhone for $2.99

If it becomes universal, shouldn't I already own the app on iPhone? Not the end of the world if I have to rebuy it, but I thought that was how it worked. Maybe it only works that way when an iPhone app becomes universal (I believe Xynthesizr did that).

  • @stormjh1 no, it should just be available for download. Try tapping BUY and see if it changes to 'you already own this app so you can download it' or whatever it says. Otherwise, you should be able to download it to your computer and then sync it over.

  • @syrupcore - Thanks. I clicked Buy and it downloaded without showing me the usual "Are you sure?" Prompt or asking for a password. I assume that means it went w/I a charge.

I like this effect quite a bit - it's like a more musical sounding bit crusher.

  • Like the idea of the delay possibility (just in case your keeping score @sundhage).

:) I actually made some early tests yesterday and theres a quite good chance we'll be making some kind of delay in the future. The DSP-parts are pretty much figured out (well, currently with pencil and paper), but we still have to nail UX/UI which is a lot of work.

Looking at this again, keeps coming up, wondering... Does it have the ability to map the levels and crossover frequencies to an external MIDI controller? Would be really fun when using the iPhone as an FX processor for Electribe in a live jam situation (where the screen is reserved for something else)

  • Seems that the app is really great, but I'm afraid to say its name could have been more carefully chosen.

    Check their product page. https://klevgrand.se/products/squashit

There's no shame in their game.

Lol! I see. This could easily backfire, you know.

    How so ?

One of more sensitive souls of the Audiobus forum might become unfortunately lodged into a position of moral high ground and become unable to climb down.

Oh boy here we go again :D

I will defend the artists (yes, coding and designing is an artform) tooth and nail. The fact that we even have to anticipate backlash for NOTHING drives me nuts.

Oh and it's a great distortion plugin.

  • Funny you guys mentioning Sensual Sax. I've found if you Squash the shit out of the Sax, you need less Sex Knob and can get a bit more angry Sax outta it :)

I didn't resist making a joke about the developer's pun attempts. Perhaps today people are simply not in the mood for this. Please, carry on! :p

In AUM you can control the following parameters via MIDI for each AU instance of SquashIt:
