nice improvements.. good to see Korg is still working on Volcas to bring something new, it's pretty unique concept ...
I remember when i had VolcaFM mk1 and compared it to Dexed (same patches), Volca sounded a MUCH MUCH better, more rich more fat. From examples this FM2 sounds even better ..
Sold my old one a few years ago to put the money toward a new MacBook Pro may have to reinvest as really liked the sounds.
looking forward to a volca modular 2! In my dreams maybe...
It would be a crying shame if someone smart hacked up an update for the old one that did at least a bit of the sequence randomisation stuff😁
Nice update. Still hoping for a Stanford gadget.. or iOpsix
Ya, Gadget is LONG overdue for an update... (I don't consider Module IAPs' as real 'Updates').
So this or the Sonicware XFM which one to choose?
KQ Dixie if you're on iOS...
I'm personally fed up with DSP based hardware boxes as I just see them as 'Apps/Plug-Ins'.
(Korg proved me right by releasing the Wavestate and Opsix as Plug-Ins).
Crazy... I was eyeing some used Volcas in my area. FM was one of them.
Good to know there's a new one
Great mockup @R_2! 😃
So what would you like to see come out next then @Samu in hardware?
Agree with @Samu, mini digital boxes are fun toys but for hardware, invest in analog. Plenty of FM options in iOS, so don't see the need for this. Unless you like mini synths / volcas.
Opsix and Wavestate are awesome as plugins, and have eliminated my desire for the hardware. No menu diving, multiple instances, so much better.

Well,
Bring me a Launchpad Pro Mk4 with additional knobs and pitch/mod-strips, sustain pedal button & jack and metronome click-speaker/output for starters.
Add a built-in USB-PD capable USB/Thunderbolt hub to power a MacBook and/or a USB-C iPad.
Finally add a built-in audio interface that could be based on next gen improved Scarlets (4i4 Mk3, 2 Mic-Pro's and Stereo Line-In) and top it off with a built-in clip-launcher and audio/midi to SD-Card recorder.
Call this new product something like 'Novation Launch Hub' or something similar.
It could come in both keyboard and pad versions...
One can always dream right?
It’s from a few (imaginary) updates in 2020:
4.6.0
• Added “Wuhan” gadget, sound like the ones who started it all!
• Other improvements and bat-fixes.
4.6.1
• Added “Stanford” gadget, 6 operator FM synth based on our Volca FM*
• Import Sysex soundbanks into “Stanford” through Files App.
• Other improvements and butt-fuxes.
[*In-App purchase content, AUv3 not supported]
4.6.2
• Added “Düsseldorf” gadget, 6 part percussion synthesizer based on our Volca Drum.
• Fixed excessive cpu heat/battery drain.
• Other disapprovements and fug-bixes.
That sounds brilliant, let’s see what comes out in May with all the music trade shows !
This is cool and I love my Volca FM but I’d much rather see Korg bring in a new Volca vs these MK2s they’re releasing.
