  • yes, it's a pain but it's exactly the same as the fundamental one.

  • OK that person who said yes, please explain clearly lol, cos I still don't fully understand how to make a bank and then overwrite the preset slots. Sometimes i manage it, sometimes not

Which i also never used. It's literally the most unintuitive preset system in the history of mankind imo. Sinan has been very helpful but i still don't fully get it

there just seem to be too many button pushes in some areas and not enough in others. It's quite easy to overwrite patches and stuff.

To make a bank you press on that little horizontal bar thingy. It will ask you for the new bank name (next to bank_OP). You type in the new name (Bastard1) and press c. You now have a new bank containing the presets of the default bank, typically Thermo_factory, which you can safely overwrite.

To do that you select one of the presets, do the twiddle and then press s. Type in the new preset name and then click on the preset from the preset list that you wish to overwrite. Click on that preset again et voila.

I mean, this is really, really basic stuff, Gavinski. This process only nukes the preset handling dialog about 30% of the time 🤣

This is the thing man - I've been doing most if not all of this, but it doesn't always work!

I know. I’m taking screenshots before attempting to save something. It’s like back in the 70s where you could look at your awesome Modular setup the wrong way and a whole week’s work could be ruined.

  • I think Im just slowly erasing the presets after I mangle them to my liking. It would be nice to keep the more beautiful presets though. Cheers

You can export and then reimport banks. That process is actually pretty straightforward*. If you’d like, I can send you the original preset banks.

*now that I said this I expect a Pompeii-level disaster next time I try

  • You can also only save presets with extremely short names. I love Sinan's apps in terms of innovation, but this preset system is seriously lacking

  • I mean lacking to the point it makes me want to fucking kill myself. 😂 I put this laughing face but I'm not laughing

  • I hate when apps try to “re-invent the wheel” with something as basic as saving. Why not Just do it the way everyone else does it ? 😆🤷‍♂️

  • Love the apps but hate the internal preset system, it's beyond bad. Just makes zero sense. Why should you need to copy an existing bank and then overwrite everything? It's just incredibly bad design

  • But "it is super plain and simple, no manuals needed, great for the iOS community."

Lol. That was a different app being referred to if i remember rightly 😅

The one with no presets at all. Zen-like bliss if you will.

Btw I assume that at least the people in this thread have in fact read the manual. The issue is that even if you follow the instructions to a t, the chances of a sinkhole opening up under your very feet are 1 in 3.
