I'm trying to use Indian Drummer from Loopy Pro using IAA, but when I start play or recording, the 1st beat sync is off : LP misses Indian Drummer's first beat and picks up after that. Is this a result of using IAA or am I doing something wrong? Any suggestions? Video linked below.
Would hesitate to get other X-Drummer apps if this is expected.
Would using some "link" or "Ableton Link" like facility help fix this?
He has Link enabled in Indian Drummer. How about in Loopy?
I had to enable link in both drummers to get them to connect in AUM. Dunno bout Loopy. But it works great in AUM. My favorite thing right now is sending reggae grooves into India and Mideast drummers.
In AUM, I am experiencing the same issue @des1303 does. The first hit in Indian Drummer is missing the high tabla hit (but the bayan sounds) if it is started by AUM or LP’s transport but not if started by Indian Drummer’s transport.
Can you try loading the same pattern as shown in the video and listen carefully to see if the high drum plays when ID starts playing.
since these updates I seem unable to use the apps reliably with midi from AUM, not sure if it is just AUM or other apps as well.
Hey @LuisMartinez i just purchased Reggae Drummer, love the sound and groove of it, but im having trouble getting any 'live' MIDI messages out of the app (standalone or in AUM), i know i can export midi files but i bought it specifically to route the notes into Ableton, i have MIDI Out set up correctly and dont have any issue with other IAA/AuV3's sending notes, can you shed any light on this? Thank you!
Try turning on Notes Midi Map and Send Notes

I have spent the past 3 hours trying to wrap my head around midi note mapping, oh boy
Pretty straight forward… here is a Maschine Map (808 kit).. When exported to midi, really makes Maschine shine..
Seems the ‘Lock Button (for kits)’ does not work on AfroLatin DM..
