  • What's your use case?

  • rs2000:
I would like to have smth like Koala pads
but every pad would be mpe:
I would be able to asign sample pitch to mpe slide or I would be able to change a cutoff by pressure.

  • There are a number of sampler players and hybrid synths – here's Roger Linn's somewhat incomplete list – but they don't usually give you the opportunity to load your own samples. I think Quanta does, if that counts, though it's not quite a sampler in the usual sense. If you're happy with factory sounds, DrumJam is excellent, and the implementation of MPE in ROLI Noise's drum plugin is the best I've found for MIDI drums. (Their IAP kits are also fantastic.)

  • You can sample anything you like into FRMS also, then play as mpe

  • Gavinski: yep I know or Quanta BUT!
thats why I asked for a "drum/pad" sampler.
I would like that every pad to be a diffrent sample.
so it's closer to a mpe drum sampler than a mpe sampler:)

  • You could try ChordPolyPad.
You can assign any note(s) to any pad and it also supports CC assignment to X/Y position on each pad individually.
It works in slide-over mode or as an AUv3.

  • Or buy Roli Lightpad and use it in drum pad mode.

  • Stuntman_mike: yes I have a Roli Lightpad.
    that triggered this quest!:)
there is no iOS drum (editable) sampler that has mpe support
    from my knowledge!:)

I get you now! That would indeed be cool

  • Slightly off topic, but this is one hella fun way to get instant gratification with Linnstrument: You can tell by Roger's grin about 2 seconds in that he also thinks it's pretty cool.

Not iOS, but that drumkit he's playing is freely available for download for Logic Pro (https://www.dropbox.com/s/l7y2nc8olcfbvd5/LinnStrument Logic sounds 1-1-21.zip?dl=1) or Mainstage (https://www.dropbox.com/s/io0lerixhsr2h6m/LinnStrument Mainstage Sounds 1-1-21.zip?dl=1). I suspect it's a bunch of samples due to the sheer mix & diversity of sounds in that drumkit - he only shows off about 6-8 in this YouTube vid, but there's gotta be 50+ different sounds altogether, and they're all MPE-controllable.

  • Dawnbeat sampler as this feature for pitch in X/Y section.

  • Also audiolayer is nowadays MPE, thanks @VirSyn

Not sure I understand fully. How is the MPE involved? Do you want 1 sample mapped across the entire keyboard with mpe mapped effects, or different samples on each key that you can pitch glide (while still on that key), or map an effect to slide up or down on a key?

Salome, FRMS, Samplewiz 2 for the first.

And possibly Dawnbeat would get closest to the second.

Also, Audiolayer is recently MPE capable and you could likely map keyboard zones per sample.

Edit: looks like I'm late to the suggestion party. 😂

Can you load drumkits into Salome?

It's not a multisampler. You basically record or load a single sample in and then play it with the keyboard, which allows mpe style pitch bend and per-note y axis modulation of things like filter cutoff etc.
