Cherry Audio To Announce New Synth... Any Guesses?

I'm hoping for some kind of Moog emulation. What's your guess?

We'll find out in less than an hour.

Comments

  • Yes! I've been needing this. Instant buy!

  • After testing for just a few minutes, this thing is solid. Great emulation.

  • Glad they nailed it.

as much as I love the model D sound, It’s a ground that seems too well tread in the software realm (Moog’s own D, The Legend, Monark, Diva, Mini V). It’s hard to imagine anyone bringing anything new to that table…though I do respect cherry’s fair pricing and I guess it would be nice to have those fat sounds in their modular environment.

  • Does the world need another Minimoog clone? I have too many already.

I don’t. So I’m buying it. This thing is only 39 MB also. It’s not a sampled emulation.

  • Makes me wonder if/when we get the Moog Model D for Mac considering we've already got Model 15 and Animoog Z...

It might happen eventually, but I'm OK with getting a really good emulation now at this price. I was holding off because the other emulations out there are so pricey.

  • I've already got there memorymoog and multiple minimoogs. Not sure I really need another one.
    It does sound good.

Pretty happy with my purchase, which I just made with PlugInBoutique... I had almost $10 in "virtual cash" built up in my account so I got this synth for $29.00. Glad I checked first!

And just in case anyone expects 1-to-1 compatibility with the Model D iOS app, I will note that the Cherry Audio synth does not have the Arp, Bender, Delay and Looper drop down panels like the Moog app. So, be advised. I imagine once Moog makes their Model D available on macOS, it will have these additional features.

I still think it's pretty good sounding and I'm manually starting to reproduce my favorite patches from the iOS Model D app.

Why can’t someone do a Prophet emulation or something else we don’t have already. Don’t see why we need another moog but maybe this does something special

Arturia has one in their V Collection. Prophet V.

The price is pretty special compared to the competition and the emulation isn't sampled, like some of the others.
