Animoog Z Monster Moog IAPs
Has anyone checked these Monster Moog IAPs out yet? I seem to recall already purchasing Monster Moog IAPs for the original Animoog. Are these the same again?
Comments
If you have it in Animoog, you can export it to Animoog Z using the files app and a method they published. I don’t have these presets but I’m curious about them too. I believe Monster Moog 2 was just added with the last update.
Well, the total number of timbres added by the two new packs does equal the total number of timbres in the original pack. But I haven't bought the two new packs yet either.
Where are the free samples in the presetlist?
I’m curious too. Do they give you a couple free Timbers or patches. I guess I could just check…
I compared a YT video showing all the MM1 pack presets with the old MM pack, which I have imported just fine. There are indeed a lot of duplicates but they're in a different order, so I didn't check them all conscientiously.
The "Get Free Samples" for the two new packs have one "completely new" preset each:
904A Poly Detune from Pack 1
Flange Pad 3 from Pack 2
However, the other presets are "remixed" to the point where they sound very different.
I also compared the timbres, and the new ones are definitely either re-recorded, or re-mixed, or both. They do sound like higher quality sound files.
As mentioned on the sale thread @Poppadocrock maintains, the IAPs for Animoog 2 are on sale, so the Monster Moog packs are $4.99 US right now, down from $6.99. That was enough for me to jump on Monster Moog 2.
And how do you like them?
Good to know. I still need to move all my Animoog stuff over to Animoog Z. I have so many Timbers from Adventure kid, and some other free packs I found, I wonder how much I might need any IAPs in Z. Are the Timbers in the Z IAPs that different, or better? Then the couple thousand I have already…
@Poppadocrock I don't know. I decided not to use the AdventureKid timbres for now, because there are so many, and I might like to browse the library without specifying a tag. I think the new timbres sound "cleaner", but in terms of "to what extent?" I don't have a strong opinion. Sometimes I prefer the fuzzy, lo-fi sound of the original Animoog's sound engine and samples anyway.
I hear ya. I’m not even sure really, lol. Just wondering if I should get any Z IAPs, when I have so many Timbers I’ve yet to move over… I guess I was thinking out loud. Or writing out loud, in this situation.
Just to be clear, the total unlock is on sale at $9.99, half full price. Well worth it… as I hope to find out tonight.
