CoSo - AI Sample Matching and Mixing App from Splice
I saw this app was mentioned in the app sales thread but really deserves it’s own.
https://apps.apple.com/us/app/coso-by-splice/id1574361413
The app leverages Splice’s massive library of samples and dynamically adjusts it’s suggestion criteria based on the current sonic makeup of your stack. The guy they hired to head this up is no joke, as he has pioneered some of the early methods of “de-mixing” music with AI.
They intend to allow users to eventually upload their own pieces of music to have matched to samples that would compliment them as well.

Here is a quick tip for using CoSo. When you tap the “view on splice” button, the app bounces the audio to it’s folder in files, you can then cancel during the upload process and the files remains there to use in a daw of your choice.
I recommend duplicating stacks and then creating variations in order to get a series of unique loops that can be arranged into a bigger piece.
@farfromsubtle No way to get the individual stems from the stack?
Pretty cool
“View on splice” will show the individual stems. However they will not be key-changed or time stretched like they were in the stack. I prefer exporting stacks with two of the stems, one that is a more low profile sou d if I am trying to isolate it.
I imagine the “export to ableton” option will include the altered stems once available.
Speaking of stems, have you unlocked the Easter egg in Koala yet?
Uhhh no. What is it???
