Description:

Pitsh is an open source project. The name Pitsh stands for "Pitch Shift". It is loosely inspired by certain expensive music software used for pitch correction in most modern music production. I know it isn't the most polished app; that is why it is version 0.1. Developing this app is not my full time job, but a side project. If you find it useful I'd love to hear your feedback.

very cool and very generous to share. however i did get one crash on playback of first recording. i’m gonna try to remove and reinstall and see if it helps

  • It looks like it's made by the developer of Nika:

    https://forum.audiob.us/discussion/32270/nika-by-ruben-zilibowitz

  • I’d really like to see this developed further. There’s a lot of potential here and there’s a big need for these kind of tools on iOS. And I can see how it’d be profitable. 👏👏

  • Instant crash here...

  • i deleted and reinstalled the app. it seems to be working now. pretty cool. it doesn’t allow me to select and adjust all the notes, only select notes. but it does a nice job pitch shifting the ones that i can select.has the bones of a very handy music tool. would be nice to be able to import audio into it, and/or record i. from audiobus or Aum audio

  • Seems pretty cool! Only messed with it for a minute but it’s working for me right now. However I can’t seem to figure out how to scroll up/down to get to different octaves as there are only 2 octaves on the screen. Anyone figured that out?

Importing is a must to make it useful.

Agreed. Being able to put it in an effects slot and record from AUM would be huge too. Can you record directly from an interface with this app?

The description has the dev saying to reach out for feedback, so will attempt to contact him.

  • Yeah - lots of potential here! A few little hiccups but free is always in good company!

  • Very Melodyne-y 🤩

  • Where is the source?

  • If this can get anywhere near Melodyne 🙌🏽

It’s a good start although still very rudimentary. I sang a melody into it and it works as advertised but sounds very processed. Still impressive though. Hopefully development will continue.

Yeah, Melodyne is amazing, almost unreal how well it can alter pitch like editing MIDI 🤓

I wonder if Melodyne tech could be applied to a sampler and fairly impressive sampled instruments could be created from one sample?
