Egoist by Sugar Bytes. One of my faves.
I’d rather see the app Chris from TG is using (not the same TG obvs)
Throbbing Gristle?
Egoist is fantastic. Maybe the best implementation of a randomizer I’ve used.
When I see TG, I think Throbbing Gristle.
Nothing wrong with Tangerine Dream, though.
Ditto on that Throbbing Gristle!
Been meaning to check out Egoist
One of my all time favorites. 20 Jazz Funk Greats has been hugely influential on me.
Yes - and I totally overlooked TG instead of TD!
Cosey’s book is well worth a read if anyone is curious about TG vs civilisation.
I’ll have to check that out! I’m a huge TG fan.
Corrected
dunno how that happened.
Thanks a lot
Definitely. I use the Bass sequencer via MIDI out quite a lot.
Yes, Cosey’s book is a great read. Interesting to read GPO’s autobiography, telling a different version of some of the history. I tend to side with Cosey on this one. Supposedly there is a biopic in the works based on Cosey’s life.
Edit - I was at TG’s “Final” concert at Kezar Pavilion, in San Francisco. 1980 I think it was. Was later released as part of the TG box., called Mission of Dead Souls. Was a huge fan back then.
That’s awesome! I would’ve killed to see them live. Definitely one of those life-changing bands for me. Still blows my mind today.
